Use this simple grammar pattern to start lots of conversations. Start with "There is" when talking about one thing or start your conversation with "There are" if you are talking about two or more things. Then explain what (in the Model Sentence the "what" is "a big dog") and explain where ("in front of the house") and you have a good sentence!
